You may be aware that most toilets have something that sets them apart from other models. The Niagara Stealth toilet is no different. It has one of the most efficient flushing systems in the industry, and can save you a lot of money when it comes to your water bill. Here’s a look at its features and why you should keep it in mind when you’re searching for a new toilet.
Features
☆ Uses 0.8 GPF. This one only uses 0.8 gallons of water with each flush. You would think that this isn’t enough for it to work properly, but it is. This is because there is special siphoning technology to ensure that each flush is the same.
☆ Unique push button system. Instead of having a lever on the side of the tank, it is on the top of the back of the tank. This means you don’t have to worry if someone is left handed or right handed, since it is in an arbitrary place. Pushing this button down allows the system to work properly and helps create a great amount of power, making the waste go down like it should.
☆ Elongated design. The bowl has an elongated design, which means there is more room for sitting down and that the whole thing is easier to clean inside and out. It will take up more room in your bathroom, but this might be a good thing if your last unit was too small for your family.
☆ Two piece model. It is also a two piece model, which lets you know that the tank and the bowl are two different pieces. This can make it harder to install and keep clean, but easier to replace if need be.
☆ No need to plunge. There is no need to plunge this toilet, since it won’t need it. In fact, if you plunge it, you may mess up the product, due to the way it is designed. In other words, you won’t need your plunger anymore, which may come as a relief to you.

Flushing System
This Niagara toilet is the only toilet on the market that is considered to be an ultra high efficiency toilet. It uses less than a gallon of water with every flush and still works effectively. This is due to its special flushing system, which acts as a siphon. To accomplish this, there is an air channel in between the cistern and the waste pipe, which gets everything down the pipes so you don’t have to keep flushing over and over.
Design
Besides the button on the top of the tank, there isn’t much that sets it apart from other products, as far as the exterior design goes. It has an elongated bowl, is a 2 piece system, and looks rather plain. It is made from vitreous china, so the finish is uniform and easy to take care of.
Cleaning
Since each flush is designed to siphon the water, there shouldn’t be a big problem when it comes to clean up, especially inside the bowl. The whole thing has a smooth finish, so you won’t have to clean up the outside every day either. Simply disinfect everything every week or so when you clean your house.
Consumption
As previously discussed, this toilet only uses 0.8 gallons of water per flush. This means you will likely save so much water each year when you use it. In some places, purchasing this toilet may get you a rebate simply because it is a great solution for the environment. Check out the policies in your area to find out if you can benefit from this.
Installation
When you purchase this toilet through most vendors, there are no bolts included, so you will have to purchase them separately. However, the installation should be fairly easy, since the toilet is just like many others on the market. You can easily install it yourself if you are skilled at DIY or it is an easy task for your local plumber as well. The unit is rather heavy, so you’ll need to take extra care when you put it in your home.
Customer Reviews
Many people that use this one really like it. They appreciate that it can be found at a reasonable price and that it isn’t hard to install. They also report that the unit does flush like it is supposed to, with just a few users having to use a second flush due to an excess of toilet paper in the bowl. The siphon works well and is quiet enough that it won’t disturb others in your house, even if you are going to the bathroom in the middle of the night.
A few noted that this toilet takes up a larger space than others they have installed, so make sure that you have enough room before you put it in your bathroom. It has a standard 12 inch rough cut, so measure your pipes and area to be certain they are compatible.
Pros
✓ Highly efficient flushing
✓ Flushes quietly
✓ 10 year warranty
✓ Comfort height seat
✓ Fairly priced
Cons
✘ Must buy bolts separately
✘ Might need a larger area
My Conclusion
At first glance, you may think that the low amount of water that is used in each flush would make this one relatively useless. However, when you find out that not only does it work, but it saves you money at the same time, this is one that deserves some serious consideration. Other features that make it a good buy are its high seat that is great for adults and people with infirmity issues, the fact that it stays clean, and that there is a 10 year warranty. You will have to purchase a few extras before you are able to install and use it, but this is something that is relatively commonplace. It also has a low price compared to other products boasting special features and flushing systems.
