Every toilet isn’t of the same quality, but sometimes you have a model that is generally well loved with a high level of customer satisfaction. Here’s a look at such a model and what makes it so special.
Features
☆ Elongated design. This one has an elongated design. This generally means that it has a larger bowl and area to sit on, making it more comfortable, especially for adults.
☆ Two piece system. It is also a two piece system, which means that the tank and the bowl are 2 different pieces. Some people don’t like this type of design, but it is easier to replace if something happens to one piece, but is harder to keep clean, since there are more areas for germs to hang out.
☆ Low water consumption. Each flush uses 1.28 gallons, which is a low amount compared to the average 1.6 gallon toilets. This doesn’t mean that it doesn’t work well though, since this small amount of water is just enough to do the job.
☆ Glazed trap and body. The trap and body have a special glaze finish. It allows the waste to go down properly and resists stains in the bowl as well. You will still have to clean the bowl, but it won’t get dirty as quickly as other models.
☆ Comfortable height. The manufacturer took people of different heights and situations into account when they decided how high this one should be. It is ADA compliant when it comes to height, so it is well suited for most adults, even those on the taller side, and those that may have issues with their joints or other ailments.

Flushing System
The flushing system for this unit is very unique. It uses double cyclone action and the SanaGloss glazed surface (also known as CeFiONtect), allowing a powerful flush each and every time. Most toilets have small holes in the rim, in order for it to fill up with water after each flush. In this one, there are no holes in the rim. Instead, there is a hole on the left and right side only which pump water through to create these two cyclones. This means the whole bowl is getting water in it, leaving it cleaner and helping everything go down like it’s supposed to.
Design
The toilet is elongated and two pieces, so it mixes a bit of modern technology with some older technology. The actual design of the product is up to date, especially in the tank region. It is unlikely that the exterior of this toilet will stand out, but the technology inside the toilet sets it apart from many others. Since it comes in many designs and colors, there is one that will look great in your bathroom.
Different Model Numbers
You can personalize this one a bit to make sure that it is exactly what you want. The product comes in 5 different colors, which are different model numbers. The standard model number is CST454CEF, for each one except for the black model, which has a G at the end, indicating that it has a SanaGloss finish.
There are different model numbers for the trip levers as well, since some people want it on the left and some on the right. Models will have the lever on the left unless you order model number CST454CEFRG and then add the color you want, which have special number indicatiors. The color model numbers are Cotton White #01, Bone #03, Colonial White #11, Sedona Beige #12, and Ebony #51.
Cleaning
The glaze on this toilet is high tech. Some companies only use the colored glaze and stop there. TOTO coats their colored glaze with a clear glaze, so there is a smoother surface throughout the entire product. This means that cleaning is relatively easy, since the bowl shouldn’t get dirty very often. You also won’t have to use industrial grade cleaners to get the job done.
Consumption
When it comes to consumption, each flush is only 1.28 gallons, which is less than the most common low flow toilets that are widely used. This will save you money and is still powerful enough to keep you from having to keep flushing. The bowl will fill back up with water rather fast too, so it’s always ready to go again after each use.
Installation
Installing this one is a little tricky if you have never installed a 2 piece toilet before. You will have to make sure that the tank is level and properly supported and that the two pieces fit together perfectly. You must buy a couple of extra parts, including a wax ring for the toilet to sit on, but otherwise the whole installation is rather straightforward.
On the other hand, if you intend to hire a plumber or professional to install it, they will have no trouble since it’s something they do all the time.
Customer Reviews
Most people that use this toilet love it. Some reasons for this are that it has a height that is good for most and that it isn’t hard to keep clean. Besides that, they appreciate that the flush is very powerful, although it is a little louder than other models. Furthermore, it is easy to install and holds up well over time. Most of the problems reported by users were minor and had to do with aesthetics rather than any issues with the operation of the product.
